Hello: Just finnished puting my 400 in my 85 Blazer (2 wheel drive). Still have to finnish hooking everything back up. I also put in a 350 trans. My question is, The drive shaft is very close to the trans, the term \"SBCH\" comes to mind. I remember reading something about moving the rear axel back a half inch. Anybody have any info on this? The motor mounts I used don\'t have any adjustment. So moving the motor is not the option. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif

By the way, I put the motor in with the trans allready in and hooked up, drive shaft included. Not sure if I could even get the drive shaft out.

Thanks

I hate to refer someone to another place for parts but I don\'t think that they are sold here. Stealth conversions has axle setback plates, I think it is what you need. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

You should have 1/2-3/4\" of the driveshaft input shaft sticking out of the tranny.

I\'ve use the axle plates. Cheaper than getting my shaft cut. Never had any problems with them.

I\'ve actually got an extra set. Never even opened out of the box. They\'re $25 from JTR, I\'ll sell you them for 20, plus shipping of course.
