motor mount probs

i\'m finally gonna put my motor in...just got it back...i bought the aftermarket mounts but there is about 3/8\" gap between the ones on the motor and the ones on the frame. Any thoughts...maybe wrong mounts...i bought mounts to replace the 4.3L...this is for a 95 S-10...help

in regards to my last post... all of the mount kits say to have 2.8L mounts...i had the 4.3L, do i need to get the 2.8 frame mounts...?

i highly recomend going to the 2.8 mounts. for some reason the wonderful engineers at GM decided that they would give the 2.8 trucks stronger mounts.



every drivers side aftermarket 4.3 mount i have bought has broken. and the last one i popped off with a pry bar when i pulled the 4.3 out without much effort.



very stupid design.
