Pinion Seal Replacement

As stated before I need to replace my rear pinion seal. Has anyone done this before? I know you need to mark where the nut is, and count how many turns it took to get it off but other than that any pointers?

Does anyone know the size of the nut on the rear pinion? I measured roughly and got 1 1/2\" top to bottom of nut.

As we all may know 90% of the bolts on these trucks are metric what is 1 1/2\" in metric, OR does anyone know the precise size of the nut? Thank you for any help.

It is ether 31 or 33 mm. I have a 30, 32 and a 34mm sockets. I use ether the 32 or the 34.

Sorry don\'t recall excat size. But that will get you going in the correct direction.
