what gears do you think i have?

ok guys i checked in the glove box and it says i have 308 but my last s10 i had it had 308\'s and it would cruise alot better then the s10 i have now it does it just fine but it turns about 2700rpm at 55mph roughly.here are the letters and numbers on the rear GAHK O or Q 522 the Oor the Q it looks like either or. the tires i have on the rear are 245/50/16. let me know please if you can help. nick

ChevyKid, assuming you are running a 1 to 1 ratio w/o overdrive and no converter lock up. The other assumpsion is the actual speed. If you are reading it from your dash, how knows. The tire size you have now is 25.65\" tall. If you had someone clock you to check your actual speed then good. The results with what you provided is as followed. 3.08 = 2500RPM @ 55 MPH. 3.23 = 2600 @ 55, amd 3.42 = 2750 @ 55. These figures I have added in for the extra slip of 300RPM for a non lock up converter. Hopes this helps. ok thank you i have a regular th350. the speedo is on i hope because the local cops put out a speed traps for people speeding but it doesnt give tickets that says the speedo is on but who knows if there radar trap thing is correct. nick
