You will need to have it calibrated.

I did not think you needed to recalibrate unless you change the transmission or gears in the rear end or the wheel size.In that year of truck it would be a mechanical guage not electric.
patrickwelchHey, would a stock driveshaft work, I had a v6 2.8 in my 83 s10, and I just dropped a 350 into it, with a turbo 350 tranny, stock rearend, would the stock driveshaft work? it only sticks in about 2.5 inches, how much are they supposed to stick in, thanks a lot

If that info that you have quoted was in his post I would have given a different answer.I did not know what he had.If people want proper answers they should be a little more specific on what they have.

Depending on what length tailshaft the th-350 has, the driveshaft will work with the long shaft and have to be lengthened 3\'\' with the short. About the guages, Mine is a 91 and the only guage that worked after the swap was the gas guage. yours will be a little different because the guages are mechanical i think and you should be able to hook them back up to everthing after the swap.

if i lower the truck, , which i am doing anyways, will the drive shaft go in farther? thanks
