Hey guys,
I went to fire up my truck to go to a cruise tonight. It fired once and died (like it usually does when cold). Then it wouldn\'t fire again. I stared going through the usual stuff and found no spark. So I started checking for power everywhere there should be power. There is battery power and switched power to the box. However, there is no power coming from the box that goes to the battery + terminal on my HEI distributor. I\'m assuming there should be 12 volts at that terminal at all times. I even tried a jumper wire straight from the battery to that terminal and still no spark. Does this mean my box is bad? Is there anything else I should check for? If the box is bad, I\'m gonna be hot because it\'s about 2 1/2 years old, but only has maybe 1000 miles on it.
If the box is bad, I don\'t think I\'m going to mess with it anymore. I\'ve heard about several people having problems with them. Does anyone make an in-cap ignition module for the HEI that has a rev limiter built in?
Thanks,
Jeff
