In my never ending search for cost effective and most effective fuel delivery solution I wondered if...

this (http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?CP=1&part=HLY-12-327-11&N=700%200&Ntt=HLY~12~327~11%20or%20HLY~12~834&N tk=KeywordSearch&rsview=sku&Ns=) pump will pull from this sending unit (http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=RNB%2D692%2D005&N =700+401115+320458+115&autoview=sku) ?

Will it work? Will it feed the 770CFM Holley Carb. ?

I use that pump------ 750 carb--- my fuel drains from my tank--- and is pumped the full length of the truck----- fuel cell is in back of bed--- no problems

I agree, i\'m using the autozone counterpart to that pump with the stock tank and lines and havent had a problem yet.

So the pump will have enough suction power to pump the gas up a tube, through the sender down the fuel line, through a filter, and to the carb and it won\'t blow up?

precisely, those mechanical pumps are designed to suck gas from the tank, in tank electric pumps pull it. the in tank pump can be restrictive for flow rates but not a major problem for street trucks.

think of it this way, what do you think they used before electric pumps were the norm? lol http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

sorry (edit) the in tank pumps push gas from the tank.

It\'s cool. I just want to build reliability and to me it seems as it could have some flaws pulling gas from the top of the tank instead of gravity helping push it down at the bottom (which I would like to avoid cutting my tank).

with that sending unit do you hook the wiring up or not

thats the beautiful part of it....it hooks right up to the stock plug. From there you can separate the sending wire and hook it up to a different gauge if you have one.
