I was wondering what everyone thought of the msd 8.5 plug wires. I have a 77 350 and its time for a new set of wires and was wondering what everyone used and which ones are best. Thanks

its not the wires, its the whole setup.... i got a msd probillet distributor, msd 6A and blaster 2 coil with spiro pro 8.5mm wires, the wires are great, but you wont notice much without the rest of it!!! i would def get the 6A box, and the coil and wires, the distributor, you may not need, but its a really nice one. it gave me more room i replaced my HEI one with the probillet without vacume advance, even more room! but def worth the money for the setup, it starts like a dream, and it has much better throttle response!

I love my MSD wires. Check out my pics and you\'ll see how I ran mine. The ones I got were universal and cut to fit. They work great.

I got the cut to fit ones too. I\'d recommend getting these because it\'s not hard to make \'em and you\'ll get a perfect fit. The only problem with those MSD wires is the boots are HUGE! I had to put ceramic boot covers on half of em so they wouldn\'t burn on the headers. (see my pics)

...and yeah, just plug wires alone won\'t make much of a difference. I got the plug wires with an MSD coil, cap, rotor and module for a factory GM HEI and it works great. Don\'t have the box yet but I\'m planning on adding it.

well right now I have the accel distributor, cap and some cheap discount auto parts wires with good plugs. The wires seem to have gotten oil soaked from adjusting my valves plus they have been on there for a year, so I was just looking to get a good set and I heard that the accel isn tthe greatest so Im slowly trying to get away from that.

i have seen the tayiolr wire \'s tied to a header at the drags ...this guy had made a bet that they would not burn ...so he tied them to the header and made a few passes...and i saw this with my 2 eyes\'\'\'..and that man one...they are called taylor 409 wires...but they are 100.00 a set...while msd are like 50.00-60.00 a set...but i always try to keep all my ingition the same brand ..like all msd..not msd wires with mallory box...etc...keep it all msd and it will be great...the pro stock cars run msd for a reason...
