ok i\'m new to dis but, whats the trick.. i got a 91 s10, with a 4.3L which is a 305 v-8 with 2 cylinders chopped off ( yeah i know.. not really) and i got a 700 r4 trans. so i just buy a new 350sb and slip it in.. exahust headers from late model camaro will clear , will the v6 or v8 motor mounts be needed ? and what other stuff will be a problem ( hit anything) ? i have read about setting the engine back( or forward) and thats really what i dont understand yet.. and will a SB chevy 355 cid that makes about 550 hp be ok for a s10 frame to handle ?

You will need s-10 v8 swap motor mounts, unless you make your own. And the camaro headers wont\' work

The frame will handle 800hp. Easy and if it doesn\'t MAKE IT. What is the 355 going to consist of and what makes you think it has 550hp? just wondering.
You will need the headers for the swap, the mount kit like ZZ4 said and then you have to start thinking about tranny mounting and driveshaft. Wiring, exhaust.SO on and SO on....

ok..i got a 700r4 trans..a 350sb will bolt right up to that right? no mods needed ? why wont the motormounts from the 4.3 work for the 350? and what does the conversion kit consist of ?....
The blocks are different. that\'s why the mounts won\'t work. The kit we have here is the Manual, the engine mounts, the radiator and the headers. Swap Kit (http://parts.s10v8.com/).

so you don\'t get the same run-a-round i got from a specific company!!!!you must remove the 4.3 FRAME MOUNTS and replace them with the 2.8 frame mounts then use the conversion block mounts, they are adjustable,up,down and back and foward.i used the lower hole on the mount, best location.
