what do you think about this cam??

this is the link... i am running a 383 with 10.5.1 with trick flow 195cc intakes with 2.0.02 valvles.I am buying the cam and springs to match the cam.I am drag racing with it mostly... i have to drive it to the track.. and local car shows.I want it to preform.what do you guys think about the combo will this cam work?

i am also going to run a victor jr. intake and a 750 holley.the cam have a maz lift of .540 on the intake and .560 on the exhuast.



Specifications:

* Advertised duration: 294 intake/300 exhaust

* Duration at .050 in. cam lift: 242 intake/248 exhaust

* Gross valve lift: .540 in. intake/.562 in. exhaust

* Lobe separation: 110 degrees

* RPM range: 2,800 to 6,100

* Needs 3,000 stall converter, headers, lower gears, and 9.5:1 minimum compression



those are the cam specs.I am going to run a 3,000 stall and a 3.73 gears.I think it going to run like a mother down the track but thats just my inexperienced mind.I am new to the motor building seen and this is my first over 400 hp small block.any help would be great.

Sounds like a pretty good cam. Good duration and good lift, pulls to 6000 well. I\'d go with it. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif
