I have a 85 2wd,2dr, blazer w/ 350 carb & 700r4 trans. I have found a complete 85 iroc z w/ 350 tpi and 700r4. what do I have to do to my non f.i. 85 blazer to get this new combo to work. change to a f.i. fuel tank, what about fuel lines? does anyone have a print out of the wiring harness for a 85 camero iroc? any help would be great.

there is a swappers guide on the market that would be a great place to start. there are 10 million things you need to know about that swap. its easy but cant be explained over a computer. do your reasearch and buy that F.I. swappers guide

Unless someone changed that motor out that's not a 350. G.M. didn't put the 350 back into the Z till '86.

Check the casting # at mortec.com to see. More than likely it's a 305. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif

motor was replaced with a jasper longblock, and I have purchased the s-10 v8 conversion manual and the f.i. manual. Have had both for sometime now. was really wanting to know if it is worth all the trouble to do f.i. I want to get the blazer back on the road. But, if I can just do a good tune-up and clean the carb, it should be fine..

the TPI is well worth the trouble. might take some time to install it and wire it all up but the performance will be so much better then a carb. but if you just want to hurry up and get the blazer back on the road then? thats your call. but my opinion would be swap the tpi on.

The benifit of the TPI is the torque curve on the bottom end. That snappy accelleration goes with it. The attention to cam selection is important for the TPI to run right. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif
