Hey before i dive in, i know this has been spokin about so many time but not sure if my problem was spoken about. cant find the topic. my headlights work but highbeams only. if i click the highbeams off my headlights go out just teh parks stay on. its not my bulbs cause they are brand new. at 1 point they worked then they didnt. i checked the wiring behind each light and it is good and snug. as for power i didnt check yet. i was thinking though, isnt there a switch also on the column near the wiring harness i could check?

theres an aluminum round or square black box under dash on fuse panel >> dimmer switch better known as it is bad only get brights when it goes out....

oth, if its the 84 thats in your pics the box he's talking about is the turn signal flasher, thats the only box type thing on the fuse panel, check the grounds very carefully, theres one on the passenger side frame rail and one on the back side of the core support right by the headlight buckets, those have always been the biggest problem children for me.

hope that helps.

same thing happened to me and grim. mine was the wiring in the column itself. i swapped in another column and the problem was solved. i dont know if grim ever got his fixed?

ok cool, yeah im thinking its a plug on the column, i was doing alot of shit down there awhile back and then noticed it stopped working , i havent had time to get to my garage but i will be taking the panels off to check the lowerr column, i will say 1 thing, im not replacing a column, im not dumpin anymore $$, for the amount of time i drive at nite its not worth it and whe i do ill use the highbeams.... too bad for the fukers who will be blinded by my lights, lol
