Nope, won\'t fit. You will need to cut the axle tubes, axles etc. Then weld up the new mounting pads and all that good stuff.

nope..forget that then.. so to get posi i HAVE to use a s10/s15 or blazer rear axle ?? are traction bars worth the money ? will they make the ride to stiff for street use ? http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif

If you are serious about traction dont just buy a set of Lakewoods or any other \"slapper\'\' type traction bar, get u some Competetion Engineering Slid-a-links. Oh and the back plate to back plate measurement on my \'91 S-10 is 48\'\'. And almost all rearends that i measured are at least 50\'\' even the camaros. The full size truck rears of those years were 56\'\' if i remember correctly. The camaro rear would leave you with 1\'\' on each side that you could make up for with more back spacing in your wheels but i think it would still look kinda funny

so the way to go is to use the posi gears from a camaro ? keep the axle housing i got ? or will the whole axle housing fit ? and the drive shaft tail fit into the diff/pinion gear ? what about the leaf spring mounting ?...

I put the gears and posi from the camaro into my housing. The only thing I had to do was buy two axles from the wrecking yard because my axle was a 26 spline 7.5 and the new carrier was 28 spline and a 7.58. If your truck already has 7.58s ring gear you have nothing to worry about.

Im going to keep those prices in mind. Where did you price them out of?

Today we ran a the desktop dyno(which does rate higher than it really is) on my new motor and the torque curve goes from 3500 to 8000 and at 7300 my motor is making 847 lbft on the 200 shot. So ill probably trash my rearend(the whole freakin\' thing knowing my luck) all over the starting line. But oh well then ill know what one of them can take. Then it will be off to the shop for a new one. So i would like to know where you got those prices from.
