Hey guys,

I installed an oil cooler not too long ago and noticed a drop in oil pressure (which I expected, to an extent). I used the 1/2" hose they supplied in the kit for the installation. If I replaced the hose with hard lines, would I see an improvement in oil pressure? It's down to 45 psi from 55-60 when cruising after the oil warms up. Maybe I don't have anything to worry about - my '03 Silverado runs around 45 psi when warm, too.

Thanks,

Jeff

I wouldn't worry about it. Thats plenty of oil pressure and you probably wont get much, if any, more pressure by changing to hard lines unless you somehow make them shorter. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

Yeah, don't worry about it. Check the factory specs on oil pressure in the chilton. Your mouth will drop when you see what is recommended.
