I was putting new shocks on the rear tonight and rung the bottom shock mount bolt off. Should I cut whats left off including the ring the shock bushing rest on and drill it out the use a grade 8 bolt?

Broke both of my shock bolts off. I drilled out the holes and install those shock studs that they make for this situation. The bolts were on a parts rack with all the HELP (brand) stuff. HELP brand have simple parts, like interior door trim, door bushing, & misc parts. Anyway, the shock studs work fine.

I have ssm bars, and they didn't come with bolts at all, just a hole. I just put a long bolt in so th bushing is on the shank rather than the threads.

I have a set of SSM lift bars also, and used the HELP shock studs as mentioned earlier. Worked Great! http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif
