what wires to use to wire up a fuel guage

I just ripped the dash out of my 89 s10 and am installing a new guage cluster. On the stock plug that hooks up to oem dash cluster can anyone tell me what pin/or wire to use for the fuel guage??? and turn signals??

I'm at work so I can't be sure but I think the wire to the instrument cluster is PPL (purple) http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif

i beleive it is tan when it comes out of the fuel sender.

should be able to follow the maze on the back of the cluster. one lead is hot and the other grounds to the sending unit. the plug for turn signals should be on the column.

Mine is an 85 and it was the second one from the left on the bottom row as you are looking at the end of the plug. I do not remember the color, but mine wasn't purple. I looked for a purple many times because it was said that's what it should be, but I had no purple.
