Well this is a little off topic but I aquired a 88 suburban 4x4 with a blown 700r4/208c transfer case. I have an 88 s10 blazer that I was going to part out and put the 700r4 in it , but the tranfer case is just a bit smaller. Does anyone know if I can use my 700r4 out of my blazer and switch adaptor plates on the end?

If your 88 blazer had the 2.8 liter or smaller, NO!! http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif

aren't the trannies in the full size trucks like an inch shorter than the ones in the s-10? or is that the th350/400 and nv3500?

4x4 700R4 tranny are the same length from full size to S10 blazer/pickup cause I took one out of an 89 S10 pickup and put it in a 90 1/2 ton 4x4 and it worked fine
