I'm new to the V8 conversion. What would you suggest I do to find out what I would need to do to convert my 97 s10?

get the JTR book and visit this site religiously.

The book is listed in the Parts Store here on this site. Theres so many different pieces that can be used to make your swap work. The key is to have your plans in order and the job will be alot easier.

Welcome. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif I would have to say, don't be in a hurry take your time and do it right the first time dont cut any corners. There are alot of used parts that some on here may have and you could pick them up cheap.

I agree buy the JTR bible, it goes into the swap in detail and made my first install easy as pie, well sort of. Good Luck!
