There are several ways to complete the job.
1st you have to remove the arm from the truck. Be sure to put the floor jack under the lower control arm to support the weight. Then un-bolt the upper ball joint to the spindle. Put a hanger on the spindle so the wieght of the spindle doesn't pull the brake hose off the truck. Make sure you save the alignment shims. And make sure that the fronts and rear shims are kept seperatley cause they have to go back where they came from.
Once the arm is off the truck, spray the bolts and the sleaves real good with penetrating oil. Then, remove the big nuts on bolth ends of the shaft. the 'by the book' way is to put a spacer in the arm and press the bushings with the press.
I will asume that you don't have the speacil tools...cause I don't either. Then what I do is put the arm on its side with the worst bushing nearest the ground. THen I smack the arm itself around the top bushing area to force the arm down off the bushing/sleave. After the 1st bushing pops' out I will remove the shaft all the way and then gentley knock the reast off the other bushing off and remove the bushings sleave that is probubly seized to the shaft.
To install them I put te shaft through the arm thenslide 1 bushng one, coat it will wd40 then put a large socket over the bushing and smack the bushing home, If it doesn't seat the first time you may have to flip the arm over, put the socket and thensmack the are onto the bushng. Repeat for the other side.
