What suspension set-ups are we using around here?

As i said before, i would like to go for the stock S-10 rear-end record and if it does not exhist i will try to make one that can be challenged. I am now going to be running The Comp. Eng. Slide-a-link adj. track bars, 27x11.5 Hoosier slicks, and adj. drag shocks. What are the other racers running here?

i decided to remove the rear springs from my blazer,i will be installing ladder bars and air bags,we just did one for a customer he has a 4.3 cpi,700r4 and he hooks hard and sits nice.ok,i know, lightweight is pondering on durability of the rear axle,i just got an 8.5 rear end w/disc\'s,need a posi and new gears.hey it\'s a double duty hauler..

But what people dont under stand is that im not pushing the limits of a stock housing. Im trying to push the limits of the whole stock rear end, axels and all. The cover has never been off of it, it\'s still a one wheel peel. To me its not the stock rear end if it has had a set of gears and a posi put in...or even just a set of gears.

I will be adding a set of gears(4.56) and an Auborn posi, or mini spool....after i break the stocker.

i dont believe light weight...if that is his truck in the picture then his rearend isnt stock

it had to be narrowed at least to fit that tire

please clarify

Why? Why couldn\'t it just have tubs and lots and LOTS of backspacing?

thats not lightwieghts truck. if you look in his signature he has a 91 s10. that is a 98 or newer.

lightweight i may be wrong but you used to have a pic of your truck in your sig. right?

That was not a picture of mine in the sig, that is just a nice truck that makes a good avatar. Yes i do still have the stock rear end believe it or not.

JUST THROW A FORD 8.8 UNDER IT AND BE DONE WITH IT. I HAVE A 98 FORD 8.8 REAR WITH DISC FROM EXPLORER DIRECT BOLT IN JUST REWELD LOWER SHOCK MOUNTS. 4.10 AND POSI AND 8.8 IS A STRONG REAR END. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

stock rears will hold up to alot more than people think plus it depends on the previous life they lived 10 years of a 4 popper dumping the cluch would do some damage even

by the way i live lightweights pics both of them even thought there not his truck he never tried to say they were

Well the only reason i am putting in the 9\'\' ford and tubbing the truck now is because i was made a deal that nobody could refuse. A guy started on a 84 Capri ( which is almost identical to the same year mustangs) and has it back halfed tube chassis which i can fit in my truck pretty easily and a narrowed 9\'\' with ladder bars. Get this, i bought the whole car for $250, then sold Buffhomer the drivers front fender, 10 point cage, racing seat and what ever he wants after im through getting the rear stuff off of it for $100. so i got the back half chassis and complete rear end for $150
