I know guys that done this, they also would cut gas with something else to increase octane, cant think of what it is right now, but they would run it when they turned the boost up on their cars.

but I think overall it wasnt worth it for them, atleast I dont hear about them doing it anymore.

changing your driving habits will increase your mileage more then any additive or device available.

i did my own little experiment with one of my cars and driving the speed limit and not doing quick starts increased my mileage by 30%, there is no additive or device that will give the same results.

in wrong amounts this burns really hot and can damage valves and head gaskets.. tried it and blew a head gasket in my 78 chev truck..

so if i drive better like mike said, i'll get 30% better mileage...... hey, i could get over 1000 km/ tank!!

obviously results will very.

mine are based on my avg speed. i drove 100 miles a day at an avg speed of 85-90 mph, in a Scion xB. got about 24ish mpg

changed to driving the speed limit 65-70 mph and increased mpg to 36ish mpg

in my current car Volvo V70 2.5t, doesn't matter how i drive city mileage sucks but hwy mileage rocks in at 34mpg at whatever speed, seriously one kick ass ride. i beat more people in the V70 then I did in the S10.

Interesting thought riot. I had never heard of such a thing, but I see how it might help.

Keep your foot off the floor and you just might get good gas mileage? haha

One of my Subaura granola customers brought in a "As seen on TV" fuel mileage enhancer that she'd bought on .....TV. The kit consisted of a wipey, a stick on magnet and a window sticker. It also had a 3 page step by step instruction maual for sticking the sticky backed magnet to the gas tank. The directons even stated it would take about an hour to do also.

19.95 for the kit, 76.00 for the hour+ tax! she could have filled the tank 3 times for that hundred bucks!!!

I never laughed so hard silently in my life!!!!

lol, how was that supposed to work? filter out metals from the gas to provide more efficient combustion?

if that stuff does the same thing to gas that alcohol would...... i wouldnt bohter...... all gas now contains up to 10% ethanol, so if its true, then our mileage would be better now than it was this time last year before they started putting in the 10% ethanol.....

and a side not, yeah mike, i know the results will vary.... but i hope what i figured is right! 100 bucks to fill the tank http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_frown.gif would be nice to get 1000 km to that 100 bucks...... (be a little over 600 miles if my math is right...)
