pulling my truck off the road this winter and thought id do the smart thing and put in a proper wiring harness for a carbed motor and clean up the firewall a bit, just wondering if anyone else has changed theirs and how much work it takes to change it?

thanks!

i used a painless harness. i thought it was easy but i am not using a stock dash or gauges....oh yeah and i am electrical engineering student....but i think it should be pretty easy for anyone.....comes with good directions and schematics....and all wires are labeled along their entire length.

Ron Francis will make a wiring harness with any circuits you want. They can make it with the stock circuits and connections that you are going to keep and change the rest to accommodate after market stuff or whatever you want.

Used Painless back in 98 [ before they started marking wires] and like 91 xcabpro, used autometer gages , but unlike 91x, not an engineer of any sort. Like it says ---- Painless, more than enough wire and it's lasted this long with no problems. I even went so far as to get the same 18 circuit for my 69 C-10

American Autowire is very good also. Their tech support is as good as it gets.
