1982 s10 conversion gone bad HELP!!

i have a 1982 short bed that has the 350 already in it but the guy i got it from has done a horrible job i need to know if you can completly run new wire for all of the engine parts i.e. power to distributer, starter? also the starter is rubbing the frame crossmember were can i get a smaller starter that wont rub? and were i can get a possy trak rear that i can just swap out with the one i have? and also iam selling the trans out of it if any one would want if make a offer 350 turbo strong never rebuilt http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_frown.gif http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_frown.gif http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_frown.gif

you can buy the mini starter on this website or go to jegs or summitracing or ebay. as far as the wiring. start over. the distributor should only have 3 wires i beleive. the green is for tach. the starter is easy to. big wire to battery and a trigger wire to the ignition. alternator depends on the style you have. hope this helps a bit.
