A arm chained

I was at the drag strip tonight and meet a guy with an S10 who had been haveing hook issues until some guy told him to bolt a chain to the A arm. He had 3 springs with cheap shocks on the back and was running 11.90's and looked to be hooking well. Anyone on here doing this?

I know of a few guys with enough motor/hook to strap the front end down. It's another tuning aid for small tire cras that need to wheelie to hook, yet don't want the front ot go too high. You can limit the amount of travel on the front suspension to fine tune you weight transfer.

I told the guy about this web site and he said he would check it out. Hopefully he will because I may be wrong about the ET I spoke of ....he may of been faster or slower....there was ALOT of cars and trucks ran lastnight.
