Hi Everyone.
I am converting my 88 s-10. to 400sbc and turbo 350. Using the complete kit that s10v8 offers. can the factory transmission crossmember be used in its factory spot? Thanks in advance for feedback. Bobby

Yes it should bolt up fine. However on one that I did I had to oblong the mount holes because I slide the motor back alot.
By the way...

So, If I do not oblong holes. Will there be room for radiator using electric fan or is it a must to oblong holes to get clearance? Thanks for your reply.

on my 85, there was a second pair of crossmember bolt holes in the frame further back then the ones it was in. I used these and it fit perfectly.

From what I gather from the book and on here, the more room for cooling up front the better. So try to give yourself the most room up front to put as many cooling devices up there. I plan on mounting my motor back, putting the radiator in the support, having a clutch fan and electric fans on the front of the radiator.

whatever you do, if you are running a hei, make sure you dont set the motor so far back that you cant pull the distributor without pulling the intake.
found that one out the hard way
