Found a 72 olds-- ninety eight----- guy says its a 455--- are there sites like MORTEC that would have id numbers for these motors?

It should have the displacement cast right into the block on the side. Every Olds motor I had it was there. It is usually on the right side above the center freeze plug.

from 1968 - 1976 the only engine available in the Ninety Eight was the 455. in 1972 it made about 250 H.P. but oodles and gobs of torque!!! great engine for long smokey burnouts!!
