Hey there, anyone else dumb enough to run a 400 small block other than me http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif. Ive been playing with cooling solutions since day one (3 years ago). A 2 row griffin aluminum S-10 bolt in radiator, aluminum water pump (high flow), alu. heads and intake. dual 10\" pusher fans, 1 14\" perma-cool puller fan. Truck ran @ 210 yesterday in 92degree heat... i think i might have FINALLY found a good combo. Maybe i will overdrive my water pump next. truck has over .500 lift, but only 9:1. 10\" convertor. can idle ALL DAY LONG, but soon as its under load.. fuhgetabout-it. I think ill try that water wetter crap.. anyone used it ..thats happy with it? The guys over at Griffin insist the 400s are harder to cool than big blocks. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif
I\'ve never used water weter but I have heard good things on it, heard claims of 15 degrees cooler. Pulling fans cool better than pushers, and more HP more heat.

I used water wetter. Saw an instant 5-9 degree drop in temp.

I just tried some stuff called 40 below, its worked great so far the only problem I forsee is having to take it out to store it for the winter.
It has to be used with water and it will freeze in the winter ( well here anyways ).

30 bucks would probably be right down there, with exchange on the money I was around 45 or 50 dollars.

Onesicks10...I realize this is off-topic but I was wondering what you run for rear-end/suspension to run 11.40\'s? That\'s pretty impressive for a mild 400!

I\'ve got a 12bolt Currie housing, with 4.10 gears, a strange spool, strange axles, wilwood disc brakes and a pre-fabricated coil-over ladder bar suspension. You can see my truck in the pictures gallery in the finished forum i think it is.. it should be the only yellow one there if im not mistaken. I\'ve got a 1.80 60ft. time but I can\'t launch the truck at more than 2grand cuz my brakes can\'t hold me. I think im going to invest in a transbrake.
