should be an oil pressure sensor and a relay that feeds power to the pump.

The fuel pump is activated thru a relay on the drivers side quarter panel. There is also a feed from the oil pressure sending unit that actuates the fuel pump during cranking. No oil pressure means no power to the fuel pump.

Assuming you haven't changed the original wiring to much, you should also have a pump prime terminal wire hanging next to the B+ terminal block on the passenger side fire wall, try jumping a wire from the terminal to the B+ terminal block and your pump should run (you should hear it)... If it doesn't run check your fuel pump wires back at the tank for power and a good ground or replace the pump if you find that it is getting power when jumped up front... If it runs when jumped then you should check the oil pressure switch, fuel pump relay and circuit connections... I hope this helps, I got rid of the whole thing and ran a mechanical pump and just a pickup screen in the gas tank, on my truck I'm using the fuel pump relay to run an electric choke heater and it's energized by the oil pressure switch when running which opens the choke...
