When i went to the scrap yard, they weighed my blazer in at 4450. However thats with me @ 150, a snowplow frame hanging from the front , a towhitch, winch and a nice size tool box in the back.

RC/SB with full factory interior, no AC, and me in it with 1/2 tank was 3200 or so. It also have a vinyl tonno, bed liner, sub and box/amp, snd s few extras. But it did have a rear nroll pan and fibergalss hood(which weighed about the same as stock)

I got a lot of good info from edmunds.com I believe. This too.
http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/spec_Exterior.aspx?year=1988&make=Chevrolet&model= S10%20Pickup&trimid=-1
I did a lot of searching on the weight of a typical 60's or 70's v8 over my old 2.8 liter and the weight of my 700r4 over the old 5speed. I don't remember all the links but if you search long enough you can find pages that specialize in the weights of these components. Here's what I figure...
2.8 v6 weight: 350lbs
327 v8 weight: 575
man. tranny : 110
auto tranny : 184
225+74 = 299 (bout 300)
2710 orig. weight of extended cab 2wd 2.8 plus 300 = 3010 plus weight of driver and gas probably close to 3250 or more.
Hope that helps. results may vary, lol.
