Lin, I like what you have already. The stock fuel line comes in the engine compartment forward of the driver a-arm. At least on my 86 it does. Put a canister type on the driver's side and route back to your regulator. Is your regulator a bypass type? The return can be routed thought the stock line in the same location as the fuel source. Wait, don't you have a stock filter along the frame? http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif Rubber hose that covers the pressure that your pump puts out is fine. As far as a crash swith, you are using the stack harness. The fuel pump uses the oil pressure switch to serve that purpose. If you have the stock wiring utilized, if the engine losses oil pressure the fuel pump shuts off. The problem in a crash if the engine does not die, the pump will stay on.
Thanks! I do have it wired to the oil pressure switch, and you know I'm not sure about the fuel filter? maybe all this time I've been working on this truck and just didn't see it! dumb.... thanks for pointing this all out!
