driveshaft & rearend

just starting body off restro on 83 ext cab/2.8,have 350 combo to go in it 2 quick questions what do i have to do to the split driveshaft and ive read all your comments on what rearend to use is there a clear cut answer on what to use ?

depends on how much money u want to spend you can use a stock rear or GO 9\'\' THATS WHAT I HAVE http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

unless your running crazy power go with the stock rear end, and get one of these (http://www.slponline.com/view_product.asp?PARTNUMBER=64501T)

it\'ll handle close to 500hp, but you\'ll have to change to 28 spline axels out of a 88 or newer s-10, which is no big deal, these zexel\'s are awesome i just ordered mine, but like i said unless you plan on lifting the front wheels off the ground and doing some serious drag racing then just leave the stock diff in it, in bone stock form it\'ll still handle a little more than 300hp
