Wow, that really sucks. I feel for ya. Any chance it'll turn up?
............. Insurance: that's bullshit, you'd never get what it's worth to you. But anything is better than nothing.

Not theft. Also lost 2gs in tools and suspension parts for my wifes 5.0 Mustang convirtible.
What really sucks is I parked it, went in to the apartment for a half hour went out to walk the dog and it was gone. Broad daylight.

I am sorry to hear that. Keep your eyes and ears open, of course drop the bug in the polices ear, for whatever thats worth.
Get theft ins. on the next one, and make it hard as hell to steal. Laser guided missles, picture ID start, electrified razor wire around the steering wheel AND ignition.
Come to think of it....someone had to know that vehicle pretty well to have it gone it like 30min.

They had "To catch a theif" on TV a couple weeks ago. It showed a juy jacking cars in less than 30 seconds. All he had was a big screwdriver and pliers if I can remember correctly.
My buddy used to work for a repo company in NY city. He told me a few storys of the cars they had to pick up. They can get your car in 3 minutes or less. In NY they have to report the car they repo to the police department this way it wont get falsely reported as "stolen".
Anyways, sorry to hear about your ride gone. Thats a terrible thing to happen. I had my brand new 2 week old 85 iroc stolen from me in 86. I walked into a mini store for a pack of smokes in Newburg, and when I went out all that was left was a pile of glass..

Get the cops to dust it for prints. Catch the asshole that stole it in the first place.

sorry to hear your truck got stolen but at least you got most of it back. thats why i am glad i dont live in a high crime city. i live in Houma La one of the top 10 safest cities to live in. i leave my truck parked on the street with the doors unlocked and the keys in the ignition? its a 96 3/4 ton in great cosmetic and running shape so its not a clunker. i 2nd the motion to get the cops to dust it for prints. they might not do it on their own but if you tell them to do it they have to. good luck.
