WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE IN THESE 2 4L60E TRANSMISSIONS?

OK, I NEED A 4L60E FOR A 2WD 93 SILVERADO, I FOUND A GUY LOCALLY THAT HAS A 4L60E FROM A 94 Z28.... DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THESE ARE THE SAME TRANSMISSION OR NOT?.... I KNOW THIS IS NOT A RELIABLE SOURCE BUT I LOOKED THEM BOTH UP ON THE AUTOZONE WEBSITE AND THE PART NUMBERS FOR THE 2 TRANSMISSIONS ARE OFF BY ONE DIGIT.... ANY HELP OUT THERE FOR THIS???

The transmissions are identical they may have different electrical plug-ins but the tranny is going to be basically the same

I agree with Greenmachine. The only thing the Z28 trans would have is a place to mount the torque arm. That should accout for your #s difference.

4l60E Don"t kn0w for sure, but there might be a difference in the shift points. whoops electrtic trans. probably not. Just a thought. Hope it works

no difference at all except for electical connections
