Well after trying to do a V8 s10 a couple of times and military duty getting in my way and now since I am no longer in the military anymore I can build my truck.
Years ago I use to work for a junkyard well the manager that runs the place drove a nice 95 Ext cab S10 well to make it short engine went out and replaced it then the truck just sat for years and now I own it.
Here is what I done on it to get it running.
Replaced fuel tank, pump, fuel filter and sending unit do to brown nasty old gas.
Replaced IAC motor due to the old being heavy carbin up and not work right after cleaning it.
The old bed box was bang up due to the truck being missused bad the shop guys using it as a yard truck for a couple months. So I looked up a new box for it on car-parts .com for a box found out that there was one at another yard that the my old employer owned. The box was on a 99 s10 and was a stepside they where askign $1400 for it I talk to my old boss who runs that yard he told me would sell it to me for $600 so I said hell yes.
It has brandnew Firestone tires on it that I got at a great deal before I quit working for Firestone.
Got the new box on this past week got it home tonight but had to have my Father drive behide me because of no tail lights most likely due to a bad ground.
I hope to have a new frame for this truck next year to clean up and repaint and put the motor and trans onto it then put my body on it, but for now drive it since it will save more gas then my astro does.
Well I got some pics of the truck before the stepside box got put on. I will take some more pics of the truck with the new box tomorrow
