Anyone using them? I am going to start with my new motor. Have been told it is a good investment to protect your valve train when turning about 7000rpms

I\'ve heard they are only good for higher rpms, like you said. Above 6000 rpm. Hydrualic roller cams have tendency to float the valves above 6000 rpm. I hear AFR makes a good one for hydrualic roller cams, like the one Im gonna use. Not too sure how much of a difference they make for other types of cam

I am running a Doug Herbert Billet roller with the new motor, and the guy that is helping me set it up for the solid roller cam told me that it would be best to put one on there because, and i quote \"No matter what anyone tries to tell you that *beep* will move around in there\" LOL i guess he\'s probably right.

oh and the cam specs are, .253 .261 dur@.50 and .598 .625 lift @.50 with a 105 lobe sep.

Do you have a solid roller cam? I was also told that the girdles help keep you from having to set the valve lash all the time.

you shouldn\'t have to set the lash often even without girdles. that is what poly locks are for. i have yet to have to adjust my lash in the big truck and it has been 10k. If you spin over 6000 yes put them on. like the other guy says it will move around. Yes they will keep valve lash set. down fall is you have to take them off to adjust valves. Plus side is they look awsome. the gold ones look sweet with the roller rockers.
