I have a bone stock 1991 4.3L S-10 blazer and i dont think its accelerating normally. What did you guys use to run in the 1/4 with a 4.3 before you got your V8? Also, what were you 0-60MPH times?

A quarter mile is 2.5 10ths of a mile on the trip odometer right? Because i could just find a level street and have a friend time me...it wouldn\'t really be that accurate, but...its better than just guessing. So it should be somewhere in the mid 18\'s?

i\'m guessing high 16 to low 17\'s with a 4.3, average times i see with a 2.2 like my 97 has, is in the 18\'s so a 4.3 should be alot quicker. Get yourself a G-tec Pro, they tell you all sorts of good info like 0 to 60, quarter mile, G-force...ect.

high 17\'s is probably pretty close, if it\'s worn out then it\'ll be mid 18\'s, the 2.8 is the slowest s-truck there is they run like 22\'s, the 2.2\'s run close to the same as the 4.3\'s i dunno why but they do, my freind used to have a 2.2 extream, and he raced my one other freind with a 4.3 s-10 and they were side by side the whole way, then i raced them both with my 355 and they were at about the 1/8 mile mark when i was crossin the 1/4, 1320ft is a 1/4 mile, do like we did, measure around the outside of a bike tire then calculate how many times the tire has to go around to equal 1320ft, then have somone ride the bike while you walk beside and count how many tyimes the valvestem hits the bottom, you can get fairly close with that, also 2.5 k on the odom, eter would be close btu not near as close as the bike tire,we even painted big foot wide white stripes going across the road, ha ha the cops are always there now, but they actually stoped us and didn;t really care, they said \"at least your out in the middle of nowhere where no one ever drives\" we did it out on a highway going to an abandoned distilery, there\'s no houses or anything within a mile so were not really disturbing anyone, it\'s awesome, we even got the cop to clock us ones so we could see how fast we got going in a 1/4, ha ha it was pretty fun, the cops here are really nice though so don;t expect that from yours

My sister has a 2.2 in her standard cab truck. I had a 4.3 TBI (165 hp) in my heavier blazer. I know my blazer would have smacked on her truck.
2.8-2.2, I\'d put my money on the 2.8. I hate those 2.2\'s in trucks.
1/4 mile times for a stock TBI 4.3, high 16\'s-low 17\'s

hmmm...what would i do to my 4.3 to make it run in the 13s? I want to do a V8 Swap, but, my 4.3 only has 52K on it and I dont want to get rid of it yet.
