1996 LT 4 water pump:

1)What is the torque value for the mounting bolts?

2) Recommend any goop on the gasket?

Water Pump Bolt and Stud

33 foot pounds

106 inch pounds



this is from GM service manual for a 96 camaro lt1 engine

i normally use a little weather sripe adheasive just to hold the gasket in place not as a \"sealer\" never had a problem

Geeeeeze, OneSicks10,......I thought I could rely on you to have the correct info......but , NO, you have to be off 2 ft lbs!!!!! ha ha thanks to all.

This is a Corvette LT 4 engine...so I had to remove the alternator/air conditioning / power steering / power steering resivior and bracketry to be able to clean off old gasket from block on Drivers\'s side...which added a lot of fun. NOT! but the change is done.
