Blower box

Does anyone know if a non-a/c blower box will fit in place of the a/c unit? I live in Montana and don\'t need the a/c, so have removed all components of the unit. The blower box is now just a big empty box taking up space. My ride is an \'87 S-15 X-cab with 327/350, in the process of being replaced by a 350/700R4.

i\'m wondering the same thing, i think you need the non a/c heater core and stuff too, if you don\'t care about a heater like me you could also just weld sheet metal in to fill the hole, i\'m thinkin about it, my truck doesn;t see winter and it\'ll save some weight up front, but as far as the box fitting i\'m pretty surer they bolt on the same, i just think you need the controls and the heater core for a non a/c truck
