i have seen 3in blocks and i think you can add blocks to each other but it might not be recommended \"not sure\" could always make your own blocks or remove a leaf also to go lower but when removing leafs remember to add tracking bars or some thing to stiffin it up to prevent axle wrap

i wouldn\'t go any lower than 3\'\', both my trucks are dropped 3\'\' in the back with blocks and both bottom out over big bumps, the 97 worse than the 86. You can go 4\'\' but that really pushing it with out a C-notch.

You can go 4 inches easy mine is now dropped 3 inches using dearched leafs which are really stiff and a 1.5 inch block and belltech nitro shocks and my rear suspension is mega stiff. jumping on the rear bumper as hard as you can does not make the back end go down hardly at all. Which is good for when I get 400 ft lbs of torque next year. Oh and I have lakewood trac bars aswell.

Don\'t use anyting over a 3\" block. If you want to go lower, use dropped leafs and blocks.
I wouldn\'t go over a 5\" drop out back without a notch. That\'ll bottom out pretty good on large dips too.
so can i get a 5\" block kit w/ a bolt in c-notch
w/o axle hitting c-notch during normal city driving

try this...rermove the axle and put in a frontwheel drive setup ...this way the rear is on the ground and it will look just as goofy...lol...no im just kiddin....spend the money and do it right...belltech make\'s great parts ..but they are a bit pricey...dont ...i repeat do not do it the cheap way...you will be happier in the long run to just go ahead and spend the $$$ on the good stuff...also your truck will not only look better it will ride better and it may increase the value of it if it has all name brand parts on it like belltech...have fun man http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif
how is that not doing it right, im not cutting my springs or anything, they sell that part so y wouldnt it work?i think aim industries sells it

no ...im just saying get the good parts.....some of the not so know brand;s use cheap bolt;s instead of good steel bolts....im just saying that if it was mine i would use a trusted and worthly brand like belltech...the cheaper brand;s may be just as good ...i really dont know...the qualaty is much better if you use name brand parts....but if you are limited on$$$ than use the other brands...every time i use a cheaper brand on any thing ..it always bites me in the butt..cause after it wears out or breaks than i have to spend more money to get a new part plus money to fix what ever damage it don when it broke.....i have seen a lowered s10 truck with some power break the u-bolts on the cheap lowering block kits,,,and belive me it was not pretty....it destroyed his rims ..broke the drive shaft and the tailhousing of the tranny when it twisted...all because he used the lowering kit from auto zone ...but it\'s up to you...belletech make\'s great quality parts .... http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif
