It should say on the compressor-134A I believe.

94 and up come from the factory with r-134a.

unless your truck has been converted it will most likely have r-12 in it. when chevy changed the body style. was when they went to 134a.

Should be R-12.



Check your sticker on the radiator support/fan shroud if you still have the original one.
