i have an 82 that has been lowered 3 in the back wiht new shocks. it is a 3/4 ton truck cuz it has the helper spring. i am thinking about buying the motor complete and transporting it to my house in the truck. the motor is complete from carb to pan. how much does the motor weigh? i read that when a truck is lowered it can not handle as big of loads, do u think i could still drive it with a crate motor in the back just to get it home?? any info would b great thanks

are you haulin it in a 3/4 ton that has been lowered?? I think a complete motor weighs around 700 lbs.(?) Maybe try a trailer...

GO for it! Just a small block? Heck I\'ve hauled a bigblock in mine before. Had it heaped with all kinds of different stuff before and mine is lowered 3\" also. If you don\'t haul that motor with your truck,if it is a 3/4 ton full size truck, you might as well put the truck on a trailer and take it to shows. LOL

aight sounds good to me. that was my plan just checkin. the only way to trailer a car/truck if it is totally ilegal and is very far away. other than that trailers r 4 .
