99 vortec from tahoo

just bought my engine a

99 vortec 350 from a tahoe complete will all wiring computer and accesories 80K miles for $1150, tranny is an extra $550 if i want it. cant wait to put this in my 94 sonoma. check out my truck pics. im excited it should be cool. it would be nice if icequeen could get me the wiring diagrams so i could compare things, i plan to use the whole harness and ecu from the 99 though. has anyone done a swap like this. o yeah by the way it a 4x4 wit 2\" body and 5\" suspension lift, will i need an oilpan mod and what headers/exhaust mainfolds should i use? what about motor mounts?

Well i haven\'t completed mine yet but i am in the same boat. I have a 99 vortec with engine and cab wiring harness. I am just working on the particulars for steering colume electronics along with the windows and door locks. Basically I am taking a K truck and stuffing it into S truck. Let me tell you, you got your work cut out for you!!!! I am still in the process of finding a tranny. I would like a 4l60e since i have the computer and harness for it. But starting to look for a 700r4. Good luck man and if you run into anything let me know and i will do the same for you.

I did it, a 97 vortec into a 97 ZR2. But I bought my harness custom, so u need mounts, oilpan, electric fans, harness, and headers, new fuel system, etc.

I have the option to buy the tranny for $550 which i might decide to do, the only problem is it is a 2wd tranny and i have a 4x4 so ill have to make some changes. I have also learned that the electronics for a a 93 and 94 4L60E are the same but years 95 forward are different. so make sure you get a newer transmission, have you started installing the engine yet? what motor mounts did you use or are oyu going to use? ill let ya know how things go for me.
