i raced a few lately...

just thought id let you know about the few races ive had



1. My frist time ever racing my truck, first day acually, on a backroad, this kid with his mid 80\'s camaro, said it was pushin 375, watned to race, so from a dead stop, we went, i just romped on it, big cloud of smoke, 100+ ft marks, both tires, and he beat me by about 2 cars, i said lets go again, so then, we are off, i am 1 car ahead by second gear, then just keep pulling, beat him by about 4 cars, still engine not running right, not used to shifter, it was great.



2. Second race, this kid in his moms new 2002 nissan maxima, thought he was all bad and fast, so i said lets go, same spot as the camaro, and we went from a stop, and i killed him by about 6 cars, then i raced him, leaving it in overdrive, beat him by about 5.5 cars.



3. Raced my buddies 87 toyota supra turbo 5 speed, he beats me for about 20 ft, cause i have no traction, after that its over, i kill him, its not even funny.



4. On the way home from canada, just after the border, this little conquest is goin about 50 in a 60, so i just pass him like regular, i see he gets on it, so i shift into second, let \'er rip, then drive, then over drive, i just killed him, just ripped right on by him, then he tried to pass me again, had a huge run, i romped on it, he had no chance.



5. I have raced this 95 ford probe v6 gt, like 6 times, he always has an excuse\"i spun to much\" i think i know how that is, or \"i missed second\" or something. Well, ive beat him every time.



6. Cruizin the other night, with 2 buddies in my truck(one weighs 195 lbs, one weighs 215 lbs) anyway, we went up to penticton, BC, to see if we could street race. didnt find anything, then i pull up to a light, with this full size new chevy, thinks hes all bad , revving it up, i didnt do anything, i just sat there, with it in first, then my friend goes \"there is an NSX behind you\" i was like shutup, then he goes \"seriously\". and what do ya know, there it was, very nice. well, anyway, when i was lookin backwards, i hear tires screech, light went green, so i get on it th emost i can without spinning the tires too much, anyway, i catch him by half way through 1st, and then just kill him in second. Almost got to race the NSX, talked to the guy in the full size next light, he was like \"you like that NSX, its my bosses\', we were like yeah, why didnt he race, he goes \"race what, that???\" i think he was alittle pissed cause we just killed him.



Well, those are SOME of my stories soo far. Hope you like, ill get back to you with more, and cant wait to race again, with the new cam im getting here in like a week or so.

i know, i have quit since then, i only race just a little, when i know i wont get caught. i fought a 500 dollar ticket and won, so im tryin to stay ticketless now, but i just wish there was a track near by.

i\'ve got a good one for ya, the first oen when i had my 3.08 gears in my truck and the 355, my buddy in his mustang that runs 12\'s he wanted to race me and he beat me in a 1/4 by about 60 ft, but i told him to keep going after the 1/4 what do ya know right after the 1/4 mile i went by him like he was standing still, i have no traction so i couldn\'t catch him in the 1/4 but with traction i probably woulda beat him, anyway i got clocked at 273km/h (160mph) and got a really big ticket for it and went to court to request more time to pay for the ticket since it was almost $700, and the judge didn\'t beleive that a s-10 could go that fast so he let me off!!!!!



the second one, some guy in a brand spankin new firehawk (doooooool) thinkin he\'s all hot his car was bone stock, he\'s revin the hellout of it at the light, it turns green and he shot out about 15 ft ahead, a block later i was goin by him like nothing, i love it they all think that they have me beat then uh oh, that guy asked me if i had nitrous i told him \"nope just a 2.8 v6\"



the third race i had was with my one freind with a t/a with a 383 stroker, this was after i got my 4:10\'s and a spool, he ran 13.88 at the track, and i stayed side by side with him and be both spun for about 100ft, the 13.88 is with street tires he recently posted a 12.92 with slicks no other mods so i could run just as good as that or at least i should be able to,



the last \"race\", some idiot in a stock 5l rustang pulls up beside me revs his engine thinkin he\'s all hot with his fat ugly girlfreind sitting beside him, i had my one freind with me, so i rev my truck to about 7500rpm and let off, he just gave me a weird look and turned right ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif nothin better than the sound of a small block chevy revvin that high,



i\'ve got lots more but they aren\'t near that good, i only have one story of where somone beat me, it was a lx mustang painted black it had some big e/t streets on it and some blue underbody, i didn\'t think anything of it, he rev\'d his engine, and i heard a bit of a whine, i just looked at my freind and said uh oh, so once again i kicked my throttle a couple times untill it hit about 7500rpm, and let off, he rolled his window down and asked \"what the hell is in that thing\" i simply replied \"lets see\" and he just grinned, as soon as he grinned i knew i was in for one hell of a race, the light turned green, and he launched with his tires off the ground http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif, and as he was pulling away i caught his lisence plate and it said KILR LX, i just about crapped my pants, thats where i got the ideas for my lisence plates, i saw him later that night and he asked me to pull into a parking lot, he had a supercharged 351 in it, i couldn\'t see the blower because he had a 9\" cowl hood on it, ha ha ha ha, then he wanted to see mine, i told him what it was he said \"what do ya run about 13.2?\" god that car was amazing, i think it is the only mustang i have ever had respect for http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif but yeah thats pretty much it

Well, i drove down 2 hrs to go pick up a tux for prom. I took the truck, and it was a fun mildly paced trip.

ANyway, my friend and i pulled into a harley dealership, to check out bikes, and as soon as i pulled in, got out, and shut the doors, this guy on a harley says \"That ain\'t stock\". I reply \"yeah it is, i swear\"(with a smirk on my face). He then goes \"No, thats a v8, i dont know what they came with, but they werent even worth boat anchors, i like the ride\". That made me feel good, because everyone in my town except for a few people dont like my truck, because they like hondas(puke) or hate me cause im faster.

Well, after that, headin out from Arby\'s, i pull up to a light on a 2 lane 35 zone. I glance back, and see a white corvette stingray. I give him a thumbs up, because i admire vettes. He was wearing headphones, so that might contribute to this, but when the light goes green, he yells \"Go,Go!!!\". So i get on it, just in drive, and kill him. I dont think he had any idea. He pulls up to me the next light, and says \"thats a good way to get a ticket, ready?\". I simply say \"Yep\". Light goes green, and i kill him, by about 2 cars by the time i hit 45. Last light he says \"i need to get you on the highway\", and i said \"lets go, im headed that way\". He says \"no, i gotta go\". That was fun though.

He was an older guy, he was cool about it all, i like people like that.

i did very little street racing as a teenager....im 28 now....i just dont have any respect for some who put\'s some else\'s life in danger over a streetrace....for one.. what happens if you loose control...and it will happen...maybe it want happen now but sooner or later...it will...and you kill a by stander....just like the kid who killed his own mother over a damm street race....but hey it\'s your life....im in oklahoma....and here in tulsa we have a deal at the local drags called the midnight drags....it\'s 10.00 to watch or race....no times are given and we run off a light simaliar to a stop light...the city pays for the lights and etc...this is to keep the street races down...this is the 20th year for this...www.tulsainternationalraceway.com..man im not preaching to you just think about it next time you rev your motor before a street race and say ...what if....how would you feel if some one killed your mom...dad..sister..etc..over a street race....so im just saying keep it to the track...

Hey, i respect what your sayin, and i know what you mean. The thing is, the closest track to me is 3 hrs away. Also, when i race, if there is anyone on the sidewalks, or beside the road, or just close to where im at, i wont go, ill wait till the next light. You could probably say im the MOST RESPONSIBLE street racer there is, because if i think the other person is a bad driver, i wont go, if there is people close, i wont go, if there are cars in the turn lane beside us, i wont go. Im a really safe driver when it comes to racing. ALso, if the speed limit is 35, ill race to 40-45 tops. Im not an out of control crazy driver or anything, i just like to have a little fun every once in a while, seeing that i am 1 of 3 people who have custom cars in my town of 1200 that doesnt even have a stoplight. Also, not to brag, but i know im the fastest, so alot of people wanna race, i say no, because i have beat them before, and i dont need to again. Just comes down to im a safe driver, and dont race much. Thanks for the input.

this hapened the other night. i pulled up to a light and had just that day put in my 4.11\'s. anyway a 99 integra rsx pulls up beside me. he sits their and revs the piss out of his car and drops the clutch. ther was a little smoke. and he took off. i let him go seeing that the next light was red to. i pulled up beside him a gain and him an his buddy were laughing at my \" domestic piece of shit\" so that was it. the light turned green and i put my boot in her. he kpt up with me for about 50ft untill i copught tracton and then all he saw was tail lights and tire smoke. it gives me a warm feeling in my heart to fry som rice and i ope you all feel the same.

I worked a drag strip for 5 years,( starter ) and am so can that we have a program for teens and anyone else to bring their rides out to the strip ta race every Friday nite. Cost is only $10.00 and your gas and rubber ( sometimes yer parts, lol ). as 454 said, not preachin to you, just makin a comment. I have 4 Boys , all are Drivers, and I know I can\'t control how they drive, But they do use the strip.
