k guys this is the deal, i wanna know what everyones opinion is on a rear wing on the back of my truck, i\'m talkign about a nascar style ducktail wing, i\'m going to make it about 3\" high on about a 60 degree angle, but i\'m not too sure if i want to do it yet, everyone let me know what you think fo them, they way i\'m going to make it is out of a peice of flat steel and it\'ll be ebnd on one part then it will be bolted to the back of my homemade tonno cover you won;t see the bolts because they will be inside what\'s everyone think of this? i think it\'ll look pretty cool and maybe help out a little but with high speed stability

want traction raise the rear of your truck an inch or two or leave it stock and just lower the front by its nature a truck with a cover acts like a stabilizer fins look dumb on trucks IMO and dont add much to your traction!

look at the texas motor speedway pics to see what i\'m talking about, i think it would look really good, i\'d only want it about half as high as theirs, i\'ve seen them on trucks before and think they look really good, and i think that the rake from lowering the front and not the back looks absalutely retarded. i think the big wings that are 10\" high look rediculous, the craftsman trucks are 6\" i want about 3\" just for looks, i don\'t care much about the traction, mostly looks, with the sooth cover it looks really plain on the back,

Get rid of the ricer spoiler and go with the American look. LOL There is a company that makes the NASCAR style spoiler but I can\'t remember the name. I\'ve seen them in TRUCKIN\' magazine before. I personally like the look of the NASCAR spoiler than the ricer look.

i\'m talking about the nascar one, not a ricer one, i\'m just gunna make my own, i\'m an autobody technician so instead of wasting my money buying a $200 wing i\'ll make my own for about 10 bucks, beleive me i hate ricers, they piss me off a lot

I think it\'d look good but I think you should pop rivet it, I think that\'d make it look cool...

i like the supertruck style spoilers, i would like to do one on mine also, but have very little time to fab it up. I thought about making a solid bed cover out of sheet metal and just putting a 45 degree bend on the end for the same look. I think its a good idea. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

ive got a texas tail( i think thats what its called) on mine. its the kinda ricer style, ive gotten lots of compliments on it though. I like it too. i also like that it is kinda rice like, because when i pull up to a stop light, they think im a wanna be low rider 4 banger s-10, not a mean v8 like i really am. its pretty much just helping sell a losing proposition.

Looks real good. Nascar style. I was expecting a ricer whaletail or SuperBird deal. Ugh!

Here\'s a couple pix of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series type spoilers. Obviously they\'re adjustable for different tracks, angle mandated by NASCAR. For street & esthetics, I\'d think something closer to a 45 deg. angle (like Gumby\'s) is more appealing than straight up. As you can see, most of the race trucks are nearly straight up. Dem\'s some bad-ass trucks!http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif
