my 2.8 tbi cable worked fine with the carb, i didn\'t have to do anym, ods, it\'s judt too long, i just looped it around the distributor base and took it back over to the carb, should work fine

Can i just shorten it up from inside at the pedal?

i\'m not sure if it can be shortened, i think it has a big knob thing on the end, i guess you could shorten it and fabricate a peice on the pedal to make a clamp out of a bolt and a peice of flat steel fairly easily, but it might already be set up like that i\'m not too sure, but i\'ve have no problems with the cable binding or antyhing the way it\'s set up now

i used one from a fullsize truck, it was much shorter. They only cost around 15 bucks. I would recommend you getting a new one and not looping it, that can cause problems.

I used the 1.9L cable on mine with just a small hump in it and it has worked just fine for 13 years now.

i used one off of a 86 firebird with a carbed motor. Its alittle long but serves the purpose. You can get ones from Lokar that are cutable.

i used one from a early 70s camaro i had at the house it was the perfect length i had to \"modifie\" the in side wire part at the pedal to get full throttle i used fish line weights to hold it in farther easier and nicer than it sounds
