accessory brackets-?

i just bought a 84-s-15, will be putting a 305 in it.(got it real cheap with a mild cam and alum. intake) can i use the bracets from 4.3, i want to keep my a/c

All the brackets should fit with out any problems.

depending on what type v8 heads you have u might have to get a hole tapped into one for the bracket to mount right

just make sure you use the correct water pump if the 4.3 is serpentine.

If there aluminum brackets and if your missing out on a hole on one side dont worry to much the newer style aluminum brackets are overbuilt and can take the stress of missing a bolt at the head just make sure you torque the others good and use lock tight you dont want these comming off! if there steal brackets you should be fine because the often wrap around the block unless you have the newer block style in which case the steal ones would need fabbing to get them to work right in most cases.

S10HD, are you sure you have a 4.3? 2.8\'s were the V6 option in \'84 which is what you posted that you bought. 4.3 brackets work on similar year-range V8\'s, but the 2.8 is a whole different series (60 degree not 90, etc.).
