I just got a new s10, but it came with no windows in it. I was just wondering if anyone knew how, or have replaced windows before. Any advice or pictures would help

thanks

Id get your rear window and windshield installed professionaly your door window is fairly simple.

Yeah, I\'d never mess with my own windshield... the rear window isn\'t as big of a deal, I have seen some people do their own for split window conversion, etc. but either way they are tricky. If you were to do the windsheild you\'re gonna need the right stuff like the suction cups because imagine dropping one of those suckers or trying to position one by hand.

The door windows are easy once you pull your door panels off, you just gotta reach in there to unbolt and pull it out and replace.

yeah,,,i\'d have someone that knew what they where doing install it. Putting them in is fairly easy, but can be a pain. Taking them out is the hard part. I always had my brother install any windshields i needed...and over my lifetime i have needed alot...lol. He has some fancy little saw that fits down behind the windshield and cuts the glue, and the window pops right out. Usally kline ert or omni puts them in pretty cheap.

Hey thanks alot, i knew i could do the side windows myself. I think i might try my hand at taking our my rear sliding and windsheild myself. A friend of mine has one of those little saw things you were talking about. The only thing is i also need a new windsheild. Does anyone know how much they cost? I was thinking of stoping by the junkyard and seeing if them had one. I had one junkyard tell me they would give me a windsheild and install if for $100. I dont really know the price range something like that goes for, but i think ill look around before i make up my mind. thanks again

its very important that you get your windshield installed correctly its an intergral part of the structure of your vehicle keeping the room intact during a roll over and if you get into an accident its one of the things keeping people in the vehicle and keeping them from getting severed in half or other nasties. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif

And, water leaks suck, and wind noises blow.
