I was hoping someone could clear up some confusion of mine on fuel fitting sizes. I\'m looking through Summit trying to plan out what I need to run everything from the pump then regulator and to the carb but I\'m having some trouble with sizes. My fuel pump accepts 1/2\" fuel inlet and outlet sizes, and I haven\'t purchased my regulator yet but most of them I see only accept 3/8\", although I did find a few that would take 1/2\" but considerably more expensive.
Anyways, almost all the fittings I see in Summit are rated by -6AN, -4AN, -8AN, etc. and I was wondering which AN type is the same as 1/2\" and which is the same as 3/8\". I\'m not exactly sure how I will need to run my fuel stuff, whether I should adapt the 1/2\" down to a 3/8\" for the regulator and to the carb or if I should stick with the 1/2\" and get the 1/2\" regulator as well. Either way I need to figure out these AN sizes because the pump has nothing threaded into either end and I have to run the hose to something..
