Any idea what gears i have?

I got a 91 s-10 that was an original 4cyl 5sp. and i know that the rear end is stock. I am just puting a 305 in it so it should hold up. I was just hopping someone would be able to tell me what gears they came with? Thanks

3.08, 3.42, 3.73 are common ones, it could be any of them, the rear end will hold up well with a 305, and with it being a 5 speed your probably looking at a 3.42

Thanks, i dont think i am going to make it a stick though. I got a 700r4 with the 305 that i am going to put in it.

with the 700r and 3.42\'s it\'ll be pleanty of gear, i have 4.10\'s and my first gear is only about 10 feet long at full throttle, with the 3.42\'s you\'ll have the best of both worlds god acceleration and good fuel milage
