im a little confused do you mean the torsion bars? if so once the adjuster is removed \"carefully under pressure\" just a big hammer and i use a large punch to knock them out remember these are the springs for the front of the truck!!!! if you are replaceing them cutting them will make removal easier

ok so i went to extreme s10 and seen that they come out somehow.. Torsion bars, yeah thats it.. TOday i have managed to get the a arms off and the front differential and sway bar all on the ground in one piece.http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif Now i need those dam torsion bars off.
you think all i have to do is pop them out? http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_eek.gifwhat end? the rear pops out? i see they have a cam of sorts on it, i took out the adjuster screw already.
Thanks for the info and i will check back for a reply to this post.. You folks rock.. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

You need a unloading tool, Go and rent one from a autoparts store. You will not safely get them out without one. You did not need to take the whole front end appart. Take out the adjuster bolt and the rear of the torsion bar (paint it first it will throw off allignment) get tool and force them up take out spacer and remove bar.. That\'s it..

Sorry, I know some people love it. But for the same price or less i can lift it with a solid front dana 44 and go as high as i would want to.http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif
